TISD Fact Sheet
1. Academic Achievement
a. Tatum ISD has a challenging CIA program, requiring high levels of learning and accountability, preparing graduates for higher education or employment. TISD CIA program focuses on increasing rigor and critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration (4C's).
b. Technology: TISD has a 1-1 computer ratio with a goal to develop personalized rigorous and relevant learning environments that incorporate the 4C's.
c. THS Early College High School: Dual Enrollment Program offering up to 24 college credit hours through Kilgore College/University of Texas Permian Basin/Panola College and paid for by TISD
d. Career and Technology Education course offerings in endorsement areas of Business & Industry, Public Services, Arts & Humanities and STEM; industry certifications offered in all endorsement areas.
e. The Tatum Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation formed in 2003 with the sole purpose of awarding scholarships to graduates of Tatum High School. The Foundation has awarded $2,500 scholarships for every TISD senior that has been continuously enrolled for three years.
f. Fine Arts offerings of Band, Choir, Art, Theater and Dance
