Leading our district is Dr. J.P. Richardson, Superintendent, who has guided Tatum ISD to become one of Texas’s top-performing school districts. With 30 years in education, Dr. Richardson has served Tatum ISD for 13 years.
A Texas native, Dr. Richardson earned his Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University, Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, Superintendency certification from the University of Texas at Tyler, and Doctorate from Lamar University.
Dr. Richardson has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 31 years. Lisa serves as a principal in a neighboring district. They have two sons, both Tatum ISD graduates: Landon, 25, and Jackson, 22.
